Park raises £5000 for Cancer Research at the Royal Marsden
Alison Branch and Heath Mason, two directors of Park are cycling to Amsterdam this coming weekend 3/4th October to raise funds for The Royal Marsden.
The Royal Marsden is a world-leading cancer centre, providing the very best treatments and care for more than 40,000 cancer patients every year. When people donate to the charity, they support everyone who benefits from the work of The Royal Marsden: scientists searching for cures; doctors who depend on the latest treatments and technologies; and, of course, cancer patients and their families.
Alison and Heath are cycling with a team of 42 coordinated by Emperor who have together raised over £80,000.
Day 1 – London to Harwich – Ferry to Holland
The challenge begins early in the morning, and it’s not too long before we are cycling through beautiful Essex countryside, on roads that undulate and weave through the county. We arrive at the Port of Harwich, where we board our overnight ferry to the Hook of Holland. Cycling distance – approx. 65 miles
Day 2 – Hook of Holland to Amsterdam
The ferry docks early in the morning so we hop straight into the saddle – destination Amsterdam. Amsterdam is the world’s capital of cycling and a fantastic place to end our cycling extravaganza! Cycling distance – approx. 55 miles
Alison Branch, Managing Director says;
“A huge thank you to staff, customers and suppliers who have already donated or pledged over £5,000. Heath and I have been in training for over two months and feel ready for the challenge...wish us luck!”
Please join them as they set forth on their challenge and raise funds for this very worthy cause. Further donations, however small, would be gratefully received. Their ‘Just Giving’ page is located at http://ow.ly/SMSPe
