The 156 page Annual Report ran to 12,500 copies; ancillary items included a Notice of Meeting and Proxy Cards. The report had to be produced to a tight timetable, highest quality standards, and strict environmental levels, consistent with ICAP’s robust CSR policies.
The project was carefully scheduled, working in close partnership with Radley Yeldar – ICAP’s design agency. Revive 100 Silk was selected as the stock; it is produced using 100% recycled waste and is certified by the FSC. Special mixes of vegetable oil-based inks were sourced to achieve a close match, when sealed, to ICAP's corporate colours. The images were ‘machine proofed’ using the silk curve from Park’s ISO 12647 colour profile. Settings were saved to the image control system and subsequently used to make-ready on-press for the live printing of the report, enabling a quicker and easier press-pass. To keep to schedule, all elements of the project were completed in-house. As originally specified, the mailing pack was going to fall into the ‘small parcel’ postal band rather than the more economical ‘large letter’. Park proposed and reduced paper weights of the report and the Notice of Meeting, so saving ICAP thousands of pounds.
“We were very happy with Park’s quality and service on our 2012 annual report: the account management was excellent and the whole process went very smoothly. We were also very pleased to receive Park’s proposal for cost savings which enabled us to make a significant reduction in the cost of postage.”
